This goes with the serial cashdraw. It is required where the laptop or PC does not have a serial port which is the case with most models now.

This draw is selected when you do not want to print a receipt for every transaction. It allows you kick the draw without a receipt printer. This saves money by removing the need for a receipt printer or allows you to share one printer between two tills. It is also handy if you want to go off site with a laptop and cash draw but do not want the extra clutter of a printer. Look to be as good as the Symbols but are at a lower price point. Are USB and have counter stands, 5 year warranty are serviced in NZ (symbol in serviced in AU).

This is a very nice product and would be our pick unless cash was very tight or in a very rough environment where the Posiflex CCD option might be better as it has no moving parts. It passed the plug and play test, looks fantastic on the counter, has stand and wave through functions and very good performance. We were able to scan the pile of 4 book in 5-6 seconds. It needed a return stroke set but this is easy and clear in the quick setup fold out that comes with the scanner. - 5 year RTB warranty
